Anil Baghi Hospital reports the successful treatment of a 35-year-old patient who sustained injuries from a high-speed vehicle collision.
The patient was promptly assessed upon arrival at the hospital. Dr. Shritik Devkota, a renowned radiologist, conducted a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan to determine the extent of the injuries. Based on the scan results, Dr. Arif H Sarmast, a renowned neurosurgeon, implemented a treatment plan.
We tackled a rare occurrence: a Morel-Lavallée lesion in the lumbosacral region, often missed diagnoses. Initially suspected of a spinal injury, the case was cracked wide open with an MRI revealing the elusive Morel-Lavallée culprit. Thankfully, conservative management led to a smooth and successful recovery for the patient.
