Ferozepur, Punjab, India – November 2, 2023- Sarbat Da Bhala Welfare Society organized a Diwali celebration for special children at Parmarth Bhawan Ferozepur city on November 2, 2023.
The chief guest was Mr. Rajesh Dhiman Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur while Dr. Kamal Baghi, the founder and chairman of Anil Baghi Hospital and Mrs. Monisha Bajaj, wife of DIG BSF Ferozepur were the guard of honor.
Special children from Muskan Special School, Cantonment Board, Bhagat Puran Singh School for the Deaf, School for Special Children at Village Katora and Darpan Special School Moga were present and performed various activities. Stalls were also set up for greeting cards, bag of lamp, wedding envelopes, etc., made by special children.
Specially-abled students Tanish and Somwanti made a beautiful painting using their toes.
DC Ferozepur Mr. Rajesh Dhiman promised to donate Rs. 11,000/- (Eleven Thousand Rupees) to each special school, namely Muskan Special School, Cantonment Board, Bhagat Puran Singh School for the Deaf, School for Special Children at Village Katora, and Darpan Special School Moga, as well as Harkishan School for Special Children. He also promised to develop a Rehabilitation and Skill Development Centre for special children.
Dr. Kamal Baghi, the founder and chairman of Anil Baghi Hospital, promised to provide free treatment to special children. Last year, a dumb child received a free surgery from Anil Baghi Hospital.
Sarbat Da Bhala Welfare Society and Lions Club Ferozepur Border distributed blankets to the special children. Rtn Mr. Vipul Narang, the president of Rotary Club, donated a cheque of an amount of Rs. 11,000/- to the welfare of the School for Special Children at Village Katora in Ferozepur. Manas Sewa Samiti donated refreshments to special children, and Mrs. Monisha Bajaj, DIG BSF Ferozepur, donated lunch boxes to all special children.
The event was a success, and all the special children had a great time celebrating Diwali.
