Anil Baghi Hospital is pleased to announce the successful treatment of a 55-year-old woman who sustained a complex fracture in her left femur. The patient slipped and fell at home, leaving her unable to stand.
Concerned about her injuries, the woman and her son visited Anil Baghi Hospital, where they met Dr. Tajinder Bhalla, a renowned orthopaedics & joint replacement surgeon. Following a thorough examination, Dr. Tajinder Bhalla diagnosed a comminuted fracture of the intertrochanteric region of the left femur. This type of fracture involves multiple bone fragments and can significantly impact mobility.
To address the fracture, Dr. Tajinder Bhalla performed a Closed Reduction Internal Fixation (CRIF) procedure with a PFNA nail. This minimally invasive surgery allows for realignment of the fractured bone fragments and stabilization using an internal nail.
